The Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine is pleased to have published today the following 2022 Federal Election Priorities statement.

The statement outlines solutions to three current challenges in primary care in Australia. These solutions take into consideration preventing and better managing chronic disease, adopting innovation in the primary care model, and supporting the health workforce to enable delivery of the new models.

These are bold yet achievable solutions to influence innovative, sustainable, and collaborative change. They support the incoming government to achieve key strategies such as the Long-Term National Health Plan, including the National Preventive Heath Strategy, Primary Health Care Ten-Year Plan, the 2030 Mental Health Vision and the National Obesity Strategy.
