Lifestyle Medicine (LM) is evidence-based, clinical care that supports behaviour change through person-centred techniques across the six pillars; mental wellbeing, social connection, healthy eating, physical activity, sleep and minimisation of harmful substances.
This overview course provides a short introduction for those new to Lifestyle Medicine, including its key principles; (socioeconomic determinants of health, behaviour change and the six pillars), why we need lifestyle medicine and the growth of Lifestyle Medicine in Australia and across the globe.

ASLM courses and workshops
ASLM hosts a variety of in-person and online
courses and workshops across Australia and New Zealand throughout the year. Designed to increase participants’ understanding of the theory and application of Lifestyle Medicine, they can be undertaken as individual sessions to support professional development or to contribute towards
ASLM Fellowship points.
